“I’ve always thought it was impossible that humans haven’t been hunted into extinction yet.” She lifted her chin up at him. “We may not be fast, but we’re exceptionally clever.”
She was coming here to find a way to help him, not to go bouncing with human men. Plus, it would be the equivalent of throwing a sausage down a hallway at this point after taking Faunus’ brilliant cock. Oh my God! I just realised I’ll be walking through the town with Duskwalker come inside me. She didn’t know if she was concerned by that fact... or turned on by it. No one would ever suspect what I’ve been doing with him.

Faunus gave a mean growl. “I am not a dog, Mayumi.” “I never said you were one!” she shouted as she got her second foot in her specialised boots. “But you have claws, fangs, and are super fast. You’re also really fucking strong, and I just can’t help myself from wanting to use your full potential.”
Rule seventeen: if you see a Duskwalker, you may choose to either fight it and die, or run and die – there is no escape. Mayumi narrowed her eyes in stubborn determination. She did the only thing she could think of. She shoved her fingers all the way into his nose hole since he didn’t have eyes for her to poke. She was someone who was repulsed by affection from humans but revelled in it from him. How was she supposed to settle for some lesser score after all this?

To see her do what she was obviously born to, battle the world and all the enemies it had to offer, struck awe into him. This magnificent woman appeared to be the most dangerous thing in the world with her meagre weapons and fragile humanness. Despite this, he still couldn’t stand to see her doing it alone.
Mayumi... She would be the last thing on his mind as he finally faded to the afterworld, and he held not an ounce of regret in the action that caused it.
She expected him to sprint at her. Instead, he opened his stupid mouth to prattle at her – and she hated when enemies did that. I’m big, strong, smart enemy, you small, dumb woman. Me fight you and win. Grrr, her brain supplied over Cordon’s voice as she tried not to roll her eyes.
“Shit,” she breathed. She thought it would be the last thing to come out of her mouth. Shit, what a graceful final word.
She stared down at what remained of his skull in shock, her lips parted in horror. “No,” she whispered. A part of her splintered when she understood that Faunus was gone. That he wasn’t going to come back. No, her mind repeated.
She’d thought she’d be given the chance to at least get to say goodbye. Instead, he’d obliterated into fucking glittering dust! Gone. Poof. Never to be seen again.
Mayumi shoved her thumbs into the only part of him she could see, his callous, icy-blue eyes.
She was small, but she was strong enough to knock some sense into the man – the sense of realisation that he had messed with the wrong damn person this day. That the tide of a battle could be changed merely by a person’s newfound rage at seeing another die at their own hands. When they stopped caring about self-preservation and let their body take control rather than the cunning of their mind. When they would throw themselves foolishly into danger rather than courting it in a graceful dance.
Revenge wasn’t better left cold; it felt far better when it was hot and scalding.
“And I’m not going to give you the respectful burial you deserve, our great, honourable Head Elder. I’m going to let the Demons eat your corpse while I watch from the safety of my home.”
She wanted to know why! She wanted to know why it was so important that the person she cared for had to be destroyed. She wanted there to be a legitimate reason other than cruelty and menace, hoping that might help her accept this loss.
