At the root of Jesus’ unique concept of God was an awarenesss of oneness, or a spiritual unity with God and with all of God’s creation. Paul refers to this unique awareness: “God in whom we live and move and have our being.” In other words we live and move and have our being in an infinite ocean of intelligence and life and substance, and we are a wave within that ocean in which intelligence and life and substance are projected into livingness as the person we are.
