“You’re mine,” he growled.
“Tex...” “Don’t you mean officer Caster?” He shook his head and lifted it once more. “You shouldn’t be here.” His eyes seemed to water as his teeth dug into his bottom lip. I moved toward him and pulled it free. He was slow to react, raising his hand to knock mine away but this time I stayed unmoving. “I’m here.” “You shouldn’t be. We’re enemies.” When it came to public opinion or even Benito’s opinion, yes, we were. What did it say about me that I still wanted him? “Do you want me?”
“I shouldn’t, but you make my fucking head hurt.”
It just feels like there’s always something more important than me out there. To everyone I know.
The horny brain side of me almost wanted him to hold me down and never let me escape. Then I will know he really cares about me.
“You’re shit at listening.” I grabbed another box and handed it to him. “I’m never letting you go, Tex Caster.”
“You distract me, and risotto is a delicate dish.” “I’m distracting you? How?” I sighed. “You being so close makes me want to bend you over the counter and fuck you as I hold a knife to your throat.”
“But I’m not craving drugs or even alcohol.” He licked his lips as his eyelids lowered and his pupils dilated. “I found something far more intoxicating and just as deadly.”
In Enzo’s arms, I could fall apart and know that he would take the lead. He’d tell me where to go, how to move, and how to hold my position until all I had to do was rely on him. The thought of having someone to rely on sent butterflies through my stomach. He was there, even when I didn’t want or expect him to be.
“Keep moaning my name, Tex,” he said, his voice a breathy whisper. “The more you do it, the more I know you’re mine.”
“I really am going to make you mine.” A shiver passed through me. “You’re crazy.” “You have no idea.”
“You are mine!”
“Enzo, I can’t be yours,”
I wanted to claim Tex in every way possible. I needed him to know mind, body, and soul. He was mine and mine alone.
“You’re mine.” I pressed our foreheads together and pulled back before snapping my hips forward. The sound of our flesh clashing together was nothing compared to the moan that I drew from Tex. Tex whimpered. “But—” “No buts.” I took his mouth in a demanding kiss. I wanted to own every inch of him. I wanted it so ingrained that he knew who he belonged to down to the fiber of his being. “Say it,” I demanded.
“Don’t you dare stop,” Tex said. Anger rolled through me, and I snapped my hips forward, jolting us. “I thought you wanted to leave me, and now you’re begging me not to stop.” Tex whimpered. “You’re not being fair.” I dropped his legs and leaned forward. I bit his ear. “Fuck being fair. If I have to take you apart in order to keep you, I will.” “I fucking hate you.”
“I’ll gladly take all of your hate.” I continued to fuck Tex, ecstasy coursing through my veins with every thrust. “Just be mine.” I felt as if I was pleading.
“I can’t let you leave me,” I whispered, kissing him softly. “You can hate me, but I lo—”
“Want to talk about why there is a cop passed out in your bed with your cum leaking out of his ass?” Gin asked. My shoulders tightened, and I glared at my brother. He shrugged. “I had a few sugar-coated options, but let’s be real, Enzo. You’re essere stupido.” “I know.” I couldn’t deny it, but there was no way around it. “You know what you have to do.” I shook my head. “He’s mine.” “Enzo—” “Gin, lui è il mio tutto.”
“And I’m not going to do it,” Enzo said evenly. “He’s mine.”
“If I can’t have you, then no one can.”
You’re mine.
“You left.” “I told you I had to,” I shot back. “You don’t listen.” “What part of ‘you’re mine’ didn’t you fucking understand?”
“I’m going to drag him home.” Giancarlo’s mouth tilted down in a frown. “He’s a cop.” “He’s the man I love.” We both stood there, Gin’s eyes wide as his mouth fell open. Saying it aloud only cemented the feelings. “Enzo.” Gin’s voice was sullen. I pulled free and turned to face my brother. “Tex is mine.”
“You know what they say. If you love something, let it free or some shit like that.” I shook my head. “That is ridiculous. It should be, if you love something, lock it away so that it never escapes.”
Enzo was the most important thing in my life. I only wanted to focus on him.
“Tex?” “Yeah,” I muttered. “I love you.” My eyes snapped right back open. “What?” Enzo’s eyes were starting to close, the medicine kicking in. “I love you,” he slurred slightly. “Stay with me.” My heart raced. Did I just hear that? Enzo searched my face, his tired eyes looking for something. I licked my lips. “Fuck. I think I love you too,” I whispered. A smile took over his lips as his eyes closed one last time and stayed closed. The soft, even breathing against my ear made my chest tighten. I stared at Enzo for what felt like ages, watching his chest rise and fall as he held onto me. I love

“You’re the devil.” I kissed him again. It was as if I couldn’t get enough. “But I’m your devil.”
“I love you, and yes, I plan on destroying you.”
“Then trust I will put you back together.”
love you.” Tex blinked up at me, and I wiped some of the tears away. “Yeah? Will you still love me when I fuck up?” There was no need to think about it. “I thought I made myself clear.” I wrapped one hand around his throat and the other around his cock.
“You’re mine. You’ve had your moment of freedom. You will never escape me again.” Tex stared at me for a long while before his lips tilted up in a smile. “Freedom? I was on the fucking run.”
“I will not share you with anyone. Right now, you’re all mine. Tomorrow you can go to work and bring Penelope home.”
“You missed Pen too?” I grunted and got comfortable. The fur ball was important to Tex. And I might have missed hearing his bell or even the resounding purr he let out anytime he sat on Tex’s chest. Or when I pet him the way he was supposed to be petted. Tex was much too gentle. Pen enjoyed it when I didn’t hold back, rubbing up against me and looking up at me with those big, soft eyes. “Go get food.” Tex’s face lit up. “Oh, you did. I can’t wait to tell him.” “Just bring him home.” If Penelope was there, I knew for certain Tex wasn’t going anywhere.
“You called me your boyfriend.” My face heated. “I did.” “I’m your boyfriend?” “Oh my god,” I said, burying my face in my hands after dropping Pen. “Don’t make it a huge thing.” “Am I?” “Yes!” I yelled, pulling my hands away to glare daggers at him. “Happy?” Enzo’s smile grew, bordering on insanity. “Happier than I’ve ever been.”
“You love him,” I teased. “Whatever. I love both of you.” My heart squeezed. “Say it again.” Enzo groaned. “I love both of you!” he snapped. “Good boy.” “Just because there’s a hole in me doesn’t mean I won’t kick your ass.” I grinned. “Bring it on, baby.”
“He’s mine.”
“I’d kill for you.” Tex stared at me. Silence blanketed us for a few heartbeats. “I know, but I don’t want you to.”
“From now on, I’m the only one allowed to hurt you or make you cry. Every inch of you belongs to me.” I bit his lip. “Even your life.” Tex groaned. “Yeah. Where do I sign, Satan?”
“I love you so damn much.” I desperately tried to swallow around the lump in my throat. “I love you too.”
