Conscription Day is always the deadliest. Maybe that’s why the sunrise is especially beautiful this morning—because I know it might be my last.
Yes. Yes I am rereading Fourth Wing for the 4th time now just because it’s available on KU. Sue me🤷🏽♀️. ..I’m also listening to the dramatized version as well as I read it so, I guess..I’m reading 5 times now.
And his eyes… His eyes are the shade of gold-flecked onyx. The contrast is startling, jaw-dropping even—everything about him is.
“This place will kill you, Violet. You can’t stay here. Everyone will understand. You didn’t volunteer—not really.”
And let the annoyance that is Dain fucking Aetos begin🙄… like a part of me gets it, you’ve only know your bestfriend to be weak and fragile..but after a while bro..you gotta stop w/ the doubts. But I understand them right now. It’s the beginnings
A cadet bolts out of Third Wing, screaming as he makes a run for the stone keep behind us. We all turn to look as he sprints for the giant arched door at the center.
I would never understand why you would run at the sight of a dragon ??? Ummmmmm, helloooo💁🏽♀️..you were trying to join the Riders Quadrant in hopes of GETTING YOUR OWN DRAGON❗️ Obviously, Dragons would be around or even up close to you at some point.. WHY WOULD YOU RUN ?! What tf did you expect ??
The curtain whips back and Nolon walks in, leaning heavily on his cane. He smiles at his wife, his bright white teeth contrasting his brown skin.
A corner of Xaden’s mouth rises in a smirk, and the gold flecks in his eyes seem to dance. The sadistic ass is enjoying this.
😂😂 he always loves teasing her and making her squirm. Of course by now, in his POV he notices how attracted to her he is and then he pieces together that she is also slightly attracted to him too. UGGHHH, his POV’ are the best. I literally want the whole book from his POV man.
“I can’t lose you, Violet,” he whispers, resting his forehead against mine. “I just…can’t.”
Again, I understand why he felt the way he did and why he was so adamant at first about her leaving and joining the scribes, I completely understand not wanting to lose her in such a gruesome way… BUT once she was set on staying in the riders Quadrant, as her best friend, he should’ve done everything he could to make sure that she makes it through her first year. Instead of constantly telling her; her faults, flaws, and fragility’s. Constantly doubting her and making her feel as if she couldn’t do it or worse that he didn’t believe in her was not the way to go. He all but shoved her into Xaden’s arms. 🤷🏽♀️
Our eyes meet, shock and terror filling her wide black eyes as the post rolls her away from me and she falls. Halfway down the cliff.
Poor Aurelie. She was not only a legacy, but she was the most excited to do the Gauntlet. & for her to die because she basically got either distracted or maybe a gust of wind from the Dragon threw her off balance..idk, but either way, it sucks.
“You’re making us look bad. Stop it.” I’m clasped in Tairn’s claws. He’s actually…caught me instead of finding me unworthy
