No one knows you like your friends, your chosen family. There’s transparency that exists in true friendship. An honesty. A genuine love. Why else would we choose to spend time with someone over and over again? They know our opinions and frustrations. Our struggles and our dreams. They know how we love and often, know exactly what we like. Women are complex. Not complicated—don’t misunderstand. We have layers and depths we share in pieces with the world. We hide things too. Not to be secretive but to protect those we love most.
