“Jasper, you’ve helped me out with some difficult situations but I will end you.”
I wanted to be with someone who could accept me, love me, build a life with me. I wanted to go on adventures and enjoy my time.
“What is a regular latte for an orc?” I asked, smirking. “Oh you know,” he chuckled. “Espresso, milk, and mayhem.” “Ah yes, an extra shot of mayhem,” I teased.
“Maybe we can go on a couple more dates before then,” I said, swallowing hard. “Of course. As if I could stay away from you now.”
Patience was a virtue, but it was also a bitch.
Patience was a bitch, but it was also rewarding.
“My cock says he’s mine.” “I can cut off your cock then,” I growled. “And then shove it up your ass. Touch him, and you will face consequences. Go after one of the others.”
He let out a vicious roar, his fist hitting me square in the face. It was a good hit, a great one even. It didn’t stop me from wrapping my hands around his throat and slamming him against the tree again.
I felt cherished for the first time in my life— like someone truly wanted me.
“But, I want you,” I said, although my voice cracked. “And you’ll have me,” he said. “You have me forever, Alex.”
“If he would have gone after Will, I’d be digging a grave this morning.” “Would you give him the honor of digging a grave?” I asked.
“We’re so new to each other. But I know it. I can feel it. It’s like digging up a root and discovering a full grown tree. I’ve never felt like this before.”
“I love you,” I whispered, the tears breaking free. Jasper’s eyes widened, his expression turning to shock.
“I’m going to rip out your tongue, I think,” one of them snapped. “It’s not like I’m here to make friends with you,” I muttered, wincing as more pain began to surface.
