This and the other quote was probably the only good parts of this book.

“Because, people ruin everything, my dear,” he says quietly. “We just take and take until everything around us is destroyed. We don’t know how to live in harmony with other creatures. We just dominate them.”

I love this quote. His nicknames didn't quite sit right with me. One moment it was Kitten then My Darling. They are not on the same level! And they definitely should me used on the same time. Because one is endearing and the other dominant.
