“He travelled beyond the Veil,” I whispered, afraid of speaking too loud in case the stars were listening and would see every impossible wish I held in my broken heart and fight even harder to keep me from them. “It looked like it took almost everything from him to do so,” Caleb replied. “And I doubt he had what it would take to make the journey once again in reverse.
