and oh … I’m melting into a puddle of goo at the sight of this big, gruff man doing deep breathing exercises where he pretends to blow on hot cocoa with his six-year-old little sister.

Yeah … Olivia’s right. I probably should just block him and save myself the heartache. But I already know that I won’t.

I’m not sure if she’s always this direct or if she’s just had it with my bullshit, but something about it is a huge turn on. “Yes.”

Pulling away from his hands, I glance at his dining table. “I mean, I guess the table’s an option, but I feel like the couch is more comfortable.”

And while I don’t owe her an explanation, I don’t know that I’m willing to damage our friendship by refusing to talk to her at all.
