“His name?” I ask through gritted teeth. She’s quiet, seemingly struggling to remember. Then a mousy voice pipes up, answering the question for her. “Xavier Delano,” she says. Jillian and I turn to the girl with short brown hair and round glasses. “That’s his name,” she reaffirms. “I-I was in the house with Addie, too.” “Thank you…” “Gloria,” she supplies when I trail off. “Thank you, Gloria. You need me to kill any assholes, too?”
"I may own every breath in your body, but make no mistake, Adeline, you own mine, too. I am yours to command. To bend and break. To mold and manipulate. Do you think that makes me weak? Or do you think I'm strong enough to admit that even though my body can physically live on without you, I would never get my fucking soul back?” His hand slides into my hair and fists the strands tightly. "Without you, I will shatter. But with you, I am indestructible."
“Ready?” I call out. Francesca’s shoulders shake with sobs, but I pay her no mind. Xavier and Rocco don’t verbally answer, but their bodies tighten. “Run,” Zade commands, laughing when Francesca takes off and then immediately stumbles over her feet, nearly face-planting the dirt ground.
“You’ve taken my entire heart and soul and my ability to love another. Sometimes I hate you for that,”
Heaven isn’t a place you go to when you die, it’s inside the person that’s worth dying for.
