Corrections in Ink: A Memoir

“Keep writing, Keri,” his sister wrote. “Keep advocating, and know that somewhere Santo is following all the good you are doing with your life.” And I do. Whether it is in a jail in California, a bustling newsroom in New York, or the parking lot of a Texas prison, I keep writing and rewriting and making corrections, not in pencil but in pen. I’m making my corrections in ink.
