“I Hate Everything About You,” by Three Days Grace comes through the speakers.

I’ve been blasting this song the entire month 😂 as if then..I find it referenced in a book

“No, we’re not.” Sadness twists her features. “Because friends don’t fuck people who bully their friends.”

And don’t even get me started on the lyrics. They’re painful and real… They’re the purest form of art.

“Mistakes don’t define who someone is, Phoenix. It’s what you do after that does.”

“Don’t let your insecurities overpower that which makes your soul come alive. Otherwise, you’ll walk this earth never feeling whole…and that’s no way to live.”

Leaning down, I press my lips to her forehead. That was a solar eclipse. Tonight will be the end of my career…but the beginning of hers. Exactly how it should be.

“You’re what I want, Lennon. I love music, but I love you more.”

Because I’d rather be miserable with her than happy with anyone else.
