Sometimes letting someone go because it was best for them was the most difficult thing in the world.

“In all seriousness,” he began, his smirk spreading, “how do you feel about pet names?” I chuckled darkly. “How do you feel about dying at such a young age?”

People always disappointed. People often changed their mind and their loyalties.

If I gave my heart to him, shattered or not, he would own every piece.

“You won’t have to stand alone. I’ll stand with you.”

“Be careful in whom you place your trust. Sometimes betrayal cuts to the bone. Other times it cleaves the bone in two.”

“Like nature’s most vicious and efficient predators, she rules by intimidation,”

“Flying was everything I thought it might be. It was the fall that frightened me.”

“Hatred fuels many a fire, and seeks to consume the one who set it.

The truth was freedom, I realized. Lies were what bound a person.

“If you’re the briar, I wish to be the stem strong enough to support you, to see you grow.”
