I'm (as of 2022) 8 year in transition, 6 on t and 1 year post op top surgery wise. I pass in now 95 to 99% of the time wht all the time? People make mistakes, even with cis people i know, it really only hurts if the person making the mistake refuses to acknowkedge and continues to misgender and or deadname medispite teling me them that i am male. Otherwise i can brush it off, because like i said mistakes happen. On another point, if things aren't covered insurance its hard to get. Yes surgery is expensive but consider what the doctor(s) and staff are doing. Its no eay feet. And I'm not just talking SRS any surgery is expensive that wht it is eitheir done bywith through the graces of insurance or if lucky, by your own financial means. Phalloplasty is at minimum 50k and as easly costing 100k once the multi-surgies over multi yearsis done. Not counting time off job orvother stuff needed to heal. So why would a trans man not seek out to be a 'full flegde' male? Cost, pain, and even fear of not gave something that is realistic brought on mis information or not finalized images/discriptions of a neophallus in early stage.
