Realizing that today’s coeds are, to put it mildly, psychologically fragile, colleges have hired a battalion of mental health counselors. (Columbia University has fifty-six.) They specialize in things like “eating disorders” and “trauma support” but also “sexual and gender identity issues.” In fact, it’s possible to sign up with a college counselor wanting to talk about, say, depression, and discover that her other expertise is “LGBTQ.” So you’re feeling sad. Pg 157 You do grt it that college student orentated health care is a good thing right? Why must drugs cost so much? Just thd ay America is? Or are you going to say capitalism, cause all drugs are gastly expensive and having a copay can still be too much for some. As fir the councilors you do realize that the transition to college is big, extremly big. Some mental health conditions start in those college age times. Mine did and I am not talking about gd. If a school can help its students to make learning and adjustments better I am all fir it. The section just screams a loud of conceding trash that isdegrading to real suffering.
