“He moved to LA,” Piper said as she tried to shove another mismatched piece into the puzzle. “And we decided long distance would be too much work.” “Oh,” Chloe said quietly. “I was heartbroken about it at first, but I guess deep down, I knew he wasn’t the one,” Piper said, “or we would have tried harder to make it work.” Which meant she did think Chloe was worth that effort.
