The way his voice wrapped itself around my name and the way his hands did the same to my waist—it was too much to forget that quickly.
I’m on the edge of losing control and falling into his arms. It’s too easy. It feels too safe with him, so much so that it causes me to stutter-step at the last minute.
This thing between us happened so fast—like a tornado in the summer.
My heart swells in my chest. The room completely stills and all the sounds from below fade away. I just take in this guy that’s standing here with me and hope against all hope that it is a new beginning. For both of us. Together.
She could see my pain and wanted to be my balm.
All the doors that closed up to this point were so that I would walk through this one. And I’m jumping in headfirst.
