"Do you believe in Love at First Sight?” he asked. I blinked. Was that an attempt for a typical Romantic conversation? Unsure how to
respond, I said, "Nnno," and slipped my hand from his. I figured love was like magic, or Sci-Fian technology. Some things simply didn’t work in Horror, or at least not for me. “Oh,” the Fantastic said, a bit disappointed. “What if we introduce ourselves again?”
"Hey." She sat up with an idea. "How about I invite them over for some games tonight?
I’d been alone ever since Sean’s death, but this was the first time I felt so lonely.
"He won't wanna get to know the real you if he doesn't like a perfected you,"
"Which I will. With my Masters in Political Science, I will prove my capabilities to serve as a Lord of Margen in a way no warrior ever has."
For the first time, I wondered why something so nice would happen to me.
It was weird, but exhilarating. The weirdest part was I liked it.
“No, no.” He chuckled. “I merely had the thought that you are by far the loveliest subject to enter my studies.”
