The more I thought about it, the more I realised that we are all monsters. Yes. Us. We’re monsters. We enjoy reading about these stories. We’re the voyeurs of human suffering.
Because people hide their faces. They hide them for years and years, even to the people who are closest to them.
Children survived the most horrific of circumstances. Humans are strong, resilient, and determined creatures.
