Outdated: Find Love That Lasts When Dating Has Changed

And God is not surprised when people don’t follow his ways. Everyone fails to live up to God’s perfect standard; this just happens to be one of the most common ways people fail.

If you have had sex in the past and are now dating someone else, at some point you will need to confess that to them and ask for their forgiveness. You also have to be willing to forgive them for their past.

But we are called to be different.

Breakups are a necessary reality for almost everyone.

You should break up if the person you are dating is not fully devoted to following Christ. This will be apparent by what they talk about, what they focus their life on, and how they behave, which includes how they treat you (and the other people around them).

A person’s actions over time will show what they truly believe.

includes you, not just the person you are dating. Really, dating or marriage should be of little concern to you if you don’t have your eternal destination figured out.

If someone is having sex outside of marriage, they are not obeying the Bible’s commands about sex.

Don’t get hitched unless you are equally yoked.

“Happily ever after.” I think that is what we are all seeking, not just in love but also in life.

The goal of life is not to avoid troubles but to glorify God in the way we handle them (1 Cor. 10:31).

That is truly sacrificial work: doing for someone else what they can’t do themselves, with no possibility of them ever returning the favor or doing anything to really earn your attention and care. That’s true love.
