My monster is all tall, powerful, and beautiful. My monster is Aiden King.
“Promise you’ll marry me.” She holds out her pinkie. I curl mine around hers. “I promise.”
I missed his maddening touch and that heated look. I missed his kisses and the baths he ran for me. I missed his scent and his crude words. But most of all, I missed him. The man, the monster.
“You pushed me first. You started the war first. Don’t blame me for building my forts.”
“Run and I’ll chase. Hide and I’ll conquer.” He places a chaste kiss on the corner of my mouth. “Time to make your move, sweetheart.”
And not in a Disney kind of way. His darkness speaks to me on levels that scare the bejesus out of me.
“There hasn’t been a day where I haven’t thought about you. Every time I manage to sleep, I dream of you. You were my obsession since we were kids, but now it’s way fucking worse. I don’t know how I managed to spend eight years without you in my life when now I suffocate if I don’t see you for hours.” My eyes fill with tears. “Aiden…” “Choose me, Elsa. Choose us.”
“My intentions towards your daughter are simple,” I say with the calmest, most determined voice I can manage. “She’s mine.”
Why haven’t I played chess with her before? This is nearly as erotic as fucking her.
“I need you, sweetheart. I fucking need to be inside you like I need air.”
Back then, it was children finding friendship in each other. Truth is, we were and still are lost souls finding refuge in one another.
Denying my feelings for Aiden only destroyed me from the inside.
“Aiden… Oh, my God, Aiden.” “Fuck right, your God.”
Unlike common belief, villains aren’t evil. Villains are simply people who go after what they want even if it means walking all over the crowd.
“What I feel for you isn’t only love, obsession, or addiction. It’s all of those and more. Do you know what that means, sweetheart? It means I can’t live without you, so don’t you fucking dare leave me.”
