But if you’re trying to send a dollar to a friend, like Satoshi envisioned, you definitely do not want to pay fees that high, especially when apps like Venmo let you send money for free.

Satoshi thought that a primary use case for bitcoin was micro payments, yet the transaction fees are too high for that. Satoshi can be wrong after all!
