His gaze roamed over my body and it took everything I had to stand still. “I can’t wait to taste your stuff.” I swallowed. “Sweet tooth?” His eyes met mine. “Something like that.” He winked. “I’ll catch you later, Freckles.”

Brandon was dangerous. He was the kind of guy who ruined girls like me.

I didn’t know what I was thinking, but I knew that I couldn’t control myself around her. There was something about her that made it impossible to leave her alone.

“You like Charlie, huh?” Livy’s voice was soft and far less accusing than it had been earlier. “Yea, Liv. I like Charlie.” She smiled. That damn smile that I knew made Parker do anything she asked then she pumped her fist in the air like an idiot.

She was the first woman that I had truly wanted to date. Shit, I wanted to date her.

“Plus, any man who can screw you up so badly that you bake like this is probably worth a bit of heartbreak.” My mom, ladies and gentlemen.

“You’re tired.” I tugged her closer to me. “I’m tired. Let’s get some sleep.” Her gaze slid to the bed, but she didn’t immediately say anything. “Just sleep.” I squeezed her hands in mine. “Just let me hold you.”
