Despite what you have heard, love is an action, not a feeling. God created love between a husband and a wife to be an action. Ephesians 5:25 says, “Husbands love your wives AS Christ loved the church, and GAVE himself up for her.” (Emphasis ours.) Notice we are to have the same kind of love that Christ has, which is that of giving. Giving is an action.
