Working Too Much
9/9/2024 I work too much! I need to measure my time. I did this not too long ago then about a year ago. a year ago I discovered I was not getting anything dine was because everyv3 to 5 minutes someone was asking me for something. it was a real eye opener for me because I was thinking it was something I was doing but in reality others just depended on me too much. The sad thing is I allowed them to so I decided that I needed to take that time back and allow others to figure it out on their own and I needed to focus on my job and what was expected from me.
I did it again a few months ago because I was reading a book called get your shit together. GYST. it Tracking time was brought up in this book too. it is a helpful tool. I realized this last time was I was distracted a lot. I started with my priorities then veered off reading about different things related to the topic but not getting the tasks done.
I think it has improved things at work but I really need to figure out where my time goes starting at 5om at night. My biggest time waster is watching on TV and scrolling through Facebook

Close the day before you start a new day. Also, close every week before you start a new week. Similar for every month, and every year. Sounds simple, right? It’s one of those “simple” ideas that have a huge impact on your life.
