I say a few words about what I’m going to do and what role the sitter will play in the reading. I explain that when I read, I think of it as a triangle of light—my energy plugging into the sitter’s energy and the energy of his or her loved one on the Other Side. I also ask the sitter to hold any questions until the end of the reading, because it is my hope that the Other Side will address in the course of the reading what the sitter wants to know.
