In a way similar to the Jewish people of the Old Testament, we consume the Lamb. His Blood is then applied to the “doorposts” of our hearts, saving us from the eternal consequences of sin. Oh, how this truth makes my heart soar! Keeping this new Passover feast—the Eucharist—draws the Lamb into our hearts to dwell. Jesus comes to tabernacle with us through the Eucharist we celebrate at Mass every Sunday and every Easter. Because of this, Sunday is often called a “little Easter.”
