A man who has given up his sovereignty fabricates excuses. He tells himself stories. He feeds himself lies.
A Sovereign Man protects himself, his loved ones, and those who cannot protect themselves.
as important as it is to fulfill your manly responsibility to others, it’s imperative that you learn to take care of yourself. Because, at the end of the day, a man is responsible and accountable to himself first, then to the people he has an obligation to. And that is the essence of what it means to be a Sovereign Man: maintaining accountability and responsibility to yourself.
Too many men have taken a passive approach to their lives and, in turn, have created a life they’re not at all proud of living.
I know men like this.
Although we may define our battles differently, every man hears the battle drums.
When we attempt to isolate ourselves and shield our experiences, thoughts, and emotions from others, we limit our growth and expansion.
In my experience, when a man becomes so confused about what his purpose on this planet is, he stops. He disengages.
It’s because I’m willing to accept my share of the fault that I make myself subservient to nothing and no one. It’s because I recognize that I am weak that I become the master of my soul. It’s because I see that I am my own worst enemy that I gain my Sovereignty.
No, the goal should not be to remove risk but rather to take calculated risk.
Perhaps if the stakes were higher, we’d recognize that the complacency with which we’ve been living is not an adequate way to live at all.
Without a mission, men wander around aimlessly, wondering when they’re going to catch their break. They may look around and see other men operating with focus and clarity and wonder why they seem to lack that in their life. In many cases, the missing piece is an understanding of why we’re here and what we’re here to do. Only then, when we have the mission, can we truly begin the journey.
No man can fully be Sovereign who does not have goals, ambitions, and a desire to fulfill the mission of stepping into the noble calling that defines a man.
