The author's understanding and view of physics is very limited. He could have said that relationships are not physical. Or the entities (concepts, ideas) that emerge from physical things such as neurons are not material, it might have been a stronger argument. In other words, the author didn't have to go to the highly controversial subject of super naturalism for his arguments, which ended up muddying his argument.
