she’s running into me at full speed and we’re both tumbling toward the ground.
her gaze pauses on my abs before she lifts her eyes slowly to meet mine.
“Run with your eyes open,” I hear in a mocking voice behind me.
“Are you always a pain in the ass?” “Are you always an ass?”
“My name’s Levi.” “Oh.” I mutter, thinking Mr. Hot Shirtless Guy fits him better, but I guess Levi is okay, too.
“I can’t believe you never mentioned living next to a hottie who knows how to use a set of cuffs,” Libby whispers loudly,
“Why does he have to be gorgeous?” I think—or think I think it, but his lips curve into a very sexy smirk,
“You think I’m gorgeous?” “I . . . um . . .” I shake my head.
“Will everything with you always be difficult?” “I ruined your cake,” I shout,
No, our parents want the complete opposite—they want their girls settled with babies, the sooner the better. They
God . . . I have been friend zoned by the first guy I’m actually really interested in in what seems like forever. I’m officially an idiot.
“I was finished when I saw Muffin dragging you across the park to me.”
I glare at my dog once more, not that she notices. No, she’s too entranced by all that is Levi as he rubs the top of her head.
“It’s no wonder she’s in love with you,” I grumble as he heads back into the kitchen to get his own plate.
“She just knows a good thing when she sees it,” he says. I watch his mouth move and would swear he adds, unlike her oblivious owner. But I can’t be sure, and no way will I ask him.
“I like you, I like that you’re a little bit crazy and a whole lot blind, but until I know you understand exactly what’s happening between us, there is no way I’ll take you to my bed.”
“We figured we’d take your bed and you could have the pullout, unless there is somewhere else you wanted to stay—you know, somewhere close by?” Mom smiles knowingly, and I feel my eye twitch. Oh. My. God. I’m going to kill them. I’m going to be on the eleven o’clock news tonight, because I’m going to murder both of my sisters.
“Crazy people never think they’re crazy, gorgeous.” He grins, and I slap his chest,
“Baby.” He chuckles, and my eyes fly up to meet his once more. “You keep looking at me like that, and I won’t let you leave this room.”
“I don’t want to let you go,” he says, and I know in that moment I could get lost in him.
“Could all of you do me a favor, and for once, just try to act normal and not embarrass me?” I plead.
She looks like a living wet dream in a pair of plain cotton panties, her nipples visible through a thin tank. Fucking breathtaking.
“And stop checking me out and making me all dizzy when I’m annoyed with you.” “I make you dizzy?”
“I can’t help it, baby. Swear to god, you’re adorable when you’re flustered, but when you’re pissed, you’re fucking exquisite,” I tell her honestly, and she tosses her arms in the air.
“You’re gorgeous, and this sweet, unassuming thing you’ve got going on is a breath of fresh air to men like me and Hank, who are surrounded by women who’ve got nothing more to offer than a pretty face.”
Every time I woke up, I took her, just to remind myself that she was real, that she was with me, and that she was mine.
“No, it’s not the hair . . . it’s you . . . You look . . . you look really happy.” “I am really happy,” I say softly,
I want her to have my babies, I want everything with her. “You’re serious?”
