Once we have torn down the walls our egocentrism has built up around us — once we are free — there are no more walls. From the perspective of interdependence, our view is so broad that it can take in the entire world. When we take in the whole world, we finally encompass the whole range of our connections, for we are connected ultimately to the whole world.
