Don’t ever marry (or even date) potential. Don’t look at someone and say, “Look at all she/he can be. With my help, they’ll get there.” People are who they are, and changing them is an illusion. Love someone for who they are now, and if their gifts flourish while you’re together, enjoy being a part of that.
