I’m a firm believer that people should be able to decide for themselves what resonates with them.
When it comes to the hereafter—things aren’t black or white. Taking into account the gray areas in between, I’ll explain some of the more consistent dynamics I’ve observed over the course of more than a thousand readings. There are many exceptions to the rules, but that’s the beauty of the other side. It’s far more complex and nuanced than anything we as humans can comprehend.
I speak to dead people. More interestingly, the dead speak back to me—
a messenger in the middle of two realms: a medium.
Ironically enough, it’s the dead who have the most to teach us about life.
The purpose of meditation, after all, is to un-think.
every single soul is interconnected, but some have more prominent roles in the lives of others to help teach certain “soul lessons.”
I was reminded of one of the earliest insights I’d ever been given from my guides: being on life support is like wearing locked handcuffs.
People always assume that graveyards are full of ghosts, but the reality is, souls tend to stick around familiar areas. People often spend their last months in hospitals, and if they’re unable to transition fully, they naturally stay in those areas.
Time and again, spirits will acknowledge that they did not go alone—there was always someone there to aid them in their transition.
Synchronicities are events, similar to coincidences, that act as messages from a person’s guides or loved ones. These seemingly random yet serendipitous moments are instrumental in changing the direction of a person’s life forever.
If everyone who comes through is at peace, why do they feel so insistently the need to come through? I have come to realize the perspective death provides, that it gives those on the other side a whole new understanding of their lives. Considering that they’re still bonded to their loved ones, they often feel it’s important to share these after-death epiphanies with the living.
our loved ones come through to us because they want to share what dying taught them about living.
Departed souls are able to recall their lives. They still have perspective, and their personalities still come through, but almost all are more enlightened versions of their living selves. They have grown to understand the impact their life choices made on others. Without an ego to defend, spirits are more inclined to resolve conflicts and accept accountability.
Our egos are our beliefs about ourselves. It’s an identity of our own creation and conditioning that doesn’t reflect who we truly are as souls. Yet, as human beings, our egos are developed from infancy and maintained throughout our lives. We think of our talents, abilities, and personalities as who we are, but these are all capabilities we have, not the defining features of our soul-selves.
Even when we contemplate our egos, we contribute to our egos—how trippy is that?
Though it might be feasible for some Buddhist monks to completely detach from the ego, I’m not holding my breath for the rest of us. Having an ego is a fundamental part of existing as a human being.
Upon transitioning, each and every one of us will acquire an experiential understanding of the impact our actions and inactions had on others.
The death process acts as a rebirth, and the growth, change, and perspective we acquire in transitioning are the natural results of an expanding consciousness. It happens to even the most jaded people (and a single incarnation doesn’t define an entire soul).
Another dynamic I came to contemplate was how soul contracts might involve entire groups of people—and in some cases, they could choose to hold off on reincarnating until everyone can come back together.
synchronicities—seemingly orchestrated or coincidental events that send a message.
The departed want us to know that life continues on, so that we on earth can live freer lives, with less fear.
The departed have an enlightened perspective to share, which can improve the quality of life of those they left behind.
spiritual dreams have an unmistakable sharpness. They also tend to be remembered as short interactions, regardless of time elapsed. To an intuitive person, dream visitations are conspicuous and very difficult to ignore.
The departed fulfill their own soul lessons by communicating, having their voices heard, and being able to give back to those they love.
The Christian idea of hell. That one perplexed me entirely. By age thirteen, I’d already read and interpreted at least a hundred messages from the other side. I had yet to meet anyone who came through and communicated that they were burning in hell.
One common definition is that a soul contract ties one soul to another across eternity. Over a thousand readings, I have encountered a lot of evidence that these connections do exist, and some souls are particularly connected to each other, over multiple lifetimes.
A life well lived is not harmed by death.
