Ummm, very 2004. Also, I don’t like when books use real song or artist names, it dates them and not in a good way. Pop culture references are usually pointless unless trying to make social commentary. Now I’m specifically picturing a flip phone with the song recorded from the car radio.

The narrator shouldn’t be referring to the character by their nickname. Especially considering this is the first time we’re hearing said nickname.

So far, this heroine has no boundaries or respect for other people’s boundaries. but it is not cute.

There is a difference between curiosity and rudeness. This girl is just fucking rude. Like no tact or awareness. She cannot read the damn room and doesn’t even try to.
Just once it would have been nice to have homemade vanilla cupcakes instead of a three-tiered ganache birthday cake.
