The success of the First Part of Rights of Man was great, but the success of the Second Part was phenomenal. It was this part—and especially such sections as these—which effected a bridge between the older traditions of the Whig “commonwealthsman” and the radicalism of Sheffield cutlers, Norwich weavers and London artisans.
