we’ll come and get you at five o’clock on Sunday. If they say no, send Pig back pronto and we’ll come and get you at five o’clock on Sunday anyway.

“Apparently, Professor Sprout told Professor Moody I’m really good at Herbology,” Neville said. There was a faint note of pride in his voice that Harry had rarely heard there before. “He thought I’d like this.”
. . your time’s half gone, so tarry not Lest what you seek stays here to rot.
“You weren’t being thick after all — you were showing moral fiber!”
If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”
“Snape knew more curses when he arrived at school than half the kids in seventh year, and he was part of a gang of Slytherins who nearly all turned out to be Death Eaters.”
But as far as I know, Snape was never even accused of being a Death Eater — not that that means much. Plenty of them were never caught. And Snape’s certainly clever and cunning enough to keep himself out of trouble.”
the Bertha I knew wasn’t forgetful at all — quite the reverse. She was a bit dim, but she had an excellent memory for gossip. It used to get her into a lot of trouble; she never knew when to keep her mouth shut. I can see her being a bit of a liability at the Ministry of Magic
“To have so much money you don’t notice if a pocketful of Galleons goes missing.”
“Not unless he can turn himself into a bat or something,”
Ron. Carry on like this and you’ll be made a prefect.”
“I have given evidence already on this matter,” he said calmly. “Severus Snape was indeed a Death Eater. However, he rejoined our side before Lord Voldemort’s downfall and turned spy for us, at great personal risk. He is now no more a Death Eater than I am.”
“The Dark Lord will rise again, Crouch! Throw us into Azkaban; we will wait! He will rise again and will come for us, he will reward us beyond any of his other supporters! We alone were faithful! We alone tried to find him!”
“Curiosity is not a sin,” he said. “But we should exercise caution with our curiosity . . . yes, indeed . .
also been in contact with him ever since he left Hogwarts last year. It was I who suggested the mountainside cave as the safest place for him to stay.”
“What made you think he’d really stopped supporting Voldemort, Professor?” Dumbledore held Harry’s gaze for a few seconds, and then said, “That, Harry, is a matter between Professor Snape and myself.”
“And he trusts Snape?” Ron said. “He really trusts Snape, even though he knows he was a Death Eater?”
Fleur Delacour, Harry noticed, was eyeing Bill with great interest over her mother’s shoulder. Harry could tell she had no objection whatsoever to long hair or earrings with fangs on them.
He was walking away from the sort of glory Hufflepuff House hadn’t had in centuries.
Lord Voldemort had risen again.
“You returned to me, not out of loyalty, but out of fear of your old friends.
“May your loyalty never waver again, Wormtail,”
One, too cowardly to return . . . he will pay. One, who I believe has left me forever . . . he will be killed, of course . . . and one, who remains my most faithful servant, and who has already reentered my service.”
And Bertha Jorkins, who might have ruined all, proved instead to be a gift beyond my wildest dreams .
All he had learned there was the Disarming Spell, “Expelliarmus” . . .
“Harry . . .” whispered the figure of Cedric, “take my body back, will you? Take my body back to my parents. . . .”
“Karkaroff fled tonight, when he felt the Dark Mark burn upon his arm. He betrayed too many faithful supporters of the Dark Lord to wish to meet them . . . but I doubt he will get far. The Dark Lord has ways of tracking his enemies.”
“I asked you,” said Moody quietly, “whether he forgave the scum who never even went to look for him. Those treacherous cowards who wouldn’t even brave Azkaban for him. The faithless, worthless bits of filth who were brave enough to cavort in masks at the Quidditch World Cup, but fled at the sight of the Dark Mark when I fired it into the sky.”
Decent people are so easy to manipulate, Potter.
At that moment, Harry fully understood for the first time why people said Dumbledore was the only wizard Voldemort had ever feared.
“Understanding is the first step to acceptance, and only with acceptance can there be recovery.
Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel
You have shouldered a grown wizard’s burden and found yourself equal to it
But now a short, angry wizard stood before him, refusing, point-blank, to accept the prospect of disruption in his comfortable and ordered world
You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!
Time is short, and unless the few of us who know the truth stand united, there is no hope for any of us.”
“Severus,” said Dumbledore, turning to Snape, “you know what I must ask you to do. If you are ready . . . if you are prepared . . .”
Mrs. Weasley set the potion down on the bedside cabinet, bent down, and put her arms around Harry. He had no memory of ever being hugged like this, as though by a mother.
“What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does.
“Cedric Diggory was murdered by Lord Voldemort.”
Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.
“Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.”
