It’s not enough to just want to be more productive. That goal sounds good, but doesn’t actually convey anything of value. It’s something people say because no one wants to be less productive. In other words, that “goal” is not sufficiently compelling. It doesn’t offer the proper motivation. It won’t spur you onward when you confront obstacles (and believe me, you will confront them).
Whenever you’re struck by a new idea or errant thought, write it down. Then, keep working.
