Lord, so many forces are hostile to our faith. Popular culture disdains it as narrow, many world leaders find it threatening, powerful institutions want it gone or only believed in secret. Remind my heart now that none of this opposition will prevail. I thank you that, because you yourself live within the church, even the gates of hell will not overcome it. Amen.
