The song of the nations someday will be about how God saved the world through his grace. He chose and loved Israel (“Jacob,” verse 4) not because its people were wiser or better but simply because he loved them (Deuteronomy 7:8). So as we speak to others about God, there is no place for condescension or superiority. Every last one of us has been saved by grace alone, and so shall all his people be.
