“X! You idiot! You’re drowning me! Just chill the fuck out!” But he thrashed about in the water, dragging me under, over and over again. He held on to my shoulders like I was his damn island while I fought uselessly to keep us both afloat. “I am a land-dwelling creature, Whip! I am not made for the sea!” We were both going to be made for a watery fucking grave if he didn’t stop drowning me. “I’m Rose, not Jack! Let me on the door!”
I was the center of all of it. The sole focus of their attention. For a girl who’d grown up hiding away in corners, trying to stay out of view, it felt new. Good. Like being loved. My heart squeezed. I loved them. All three of them. This thing between us was so much more than just sex. So much more than the danger that lurked outside. There was a connection here that couldn’t be denied, and it was the breath in my lungs.
Someone’s finger touched my asshole. I jumped a mile and leaped off the bed. “Not gay! Definitely not gay!” I clutched my behind like it was on fire. Whip, Violet, and Levi all dissolved into hysterical laughter.
