His chest rumbled, his head lowering again to hover his mouth over hers. “Desperate girls beg.”
“Don’t try to tease me again, and I’ll make sure I leave this bathroom with your claim all over me. Nod for me, baby.”
Oscar: I rubbed, but I missed the temples. I used a voice, but it wasn’t soothing. I didn’t make any suspicious scenes. Oscar: Gold star for me.
“Your body is your own, and you choose what to do with it at all times—including when you choose to give that power away to someone else. I know you’ve experimented with a few things to ease the bond, but do not ever forget your safe words. They’re for you now and always.”
The Sigma was insulted. He happened to like that spoiled little rich girl side of her, but only because it made his hand itch to punish it out of her until that little pout had a matching stream of tears.
Elijah wasn’t about to admit it, but he stared at her like every flutter of her long, dark brown lashes was the most fascinating thing he had ever seen—which was a dangerous thing for her, but she didn’t seem to realise it.
Gabriel looked at her like she was one of his precious notebooks and he was barely controlling the urge to stack her onto his desk where she belonged, erecting a ten-foot wall around her so that nobody else could contaminate her.
Because the urge to ask her if she was also off limits was too strong.
“It would mean that touching you lights me on fire,” Moses growled, advancing on her, his eyes flashing black. “It would mean I would crawl out of my own skin to get inside you. Hypothetically,”
“If you don’t feel this”—he captured her hand, pressing it over the erratic beat of his heart, the only part of him betraying his calm exterior—“I’m taking you back to Dorm A and giving this opportunity to someone else. I don’t know what’s going to happen when we bond, but some people say they feel each other’s feelings and hear each other’s thoughts and if I have to feel that your heart doesn’t speed up for me the way mine does for you, I don’t think I’ll handle it well.”
“Here. When we’re fighting, I love it when you tie up your hair and I can see your neck. Your smell is so strong right here.” His thumb brushed back and forth over her skin, sending shivers down her spine.
“I can be very very—” His lips brushed hers, both of them inhaling deeply. “—very stubborn, Illy.”
“Make it a heart, mate.”
“You may be my mate,” he said softly. “But you aren’t mine. You can be grateful for that today, or you’d have most definitely received repercussions severe enough to impede your ability to walk straight for the rest of the week.”
“But I’m going to discipline you like you’re mine because you are.”
“You’re mine,” he growled, his grip around her neck tightening. “Nobody hurts what’s mine, not even you.”
She could feel his awe, and how it filled him with pride that she had given him her trust, and that she had meant it, because he could feel that she had given up all control, happy to let him do whatever he wanted with her.
“So one day, one of us or both of us are going to break, and you are going to be taken so thoroughly, you won’t even remember a time your insides weren’t coated in our claim. This is a warning, Isobel. Nod for me.”
“Just a kiss, sweet girl,” he whispered over her mouth. “I won’t be breaking you tonight.”
