Soul ties could elevate you or drag you to hell.
“May you both get some dick this weekend,” Nesha hummed. “I didn’t take a break from accounting to watch y’all act like your mothers.”
“All that Brown Wood education, and you locked yourself into a Death Row contract.”
“We got a soul tie, baby, I’m never going to let you get away.”
Love don’t make you want to crash out and hurt someone.”
This moment defines you as a man. Show them who I raised.
“Good, just ‘cause I got these kids, and some gray hair don’t mean I’m above pullin’ up, you heard me?”
“You doing that shit on purpose now. You like getting yanked up? Hand on your throat type shit? Ass smacked? Incoherent speech.”
Daysha was a woman who required more – depth, love, patience, respect. And oddly enough, Julius wanted to study, research, and understand exactly how to be that. Because another man having what she possessed and mishandling it would drive him crazy.
Posting guns like you haven’t been arrested eighty-seven times in three days is wild.”
“Say please and I’ll consider not pulling a stunt to get you back here,”
Fear ain’t nothing but a faint reminder that you still got a heart and soul.”
“Can I trust you, Day?” Her brows dipped slightly, studying his eyes. He was teetering on the edge of making a home out of her. But before he did, he needed to know if his heart was safe in her garden. If he watered her soil, would she protect what they made. “Yeah, why?” He kissed her, pressing his hardness at her opening. “Can I make a home out of you?”
“Don’t be making plans with me, I’m going to start thinking you like me for real.”
“Butterfly?” Julius nodded. “Yeah, adding beauty to everything you land on. Got me trying to be your garden and shit.”
They had a soul tie that wouldn’t be severed until they were no more.
“You are the tree that’s going to bear bountiful fruit. You’re the one breaking the curses. God did not give me you only to snatch you away. Hear me?”
We can’t control anyone else, only ourselves. We’re going to have a good time. We’re going to be fine.”
“If you never told me you loved me, it’s in everything you did tonight. Thank you, baby. On everything.”
Remember this is a horrible moment, not a horrible life. Moments pass. This will pass.”
