For one fleeting moment our eyes lock and she smiles at me. This gentle, warm smile. She’s happy we met, I can feel it.
She is a siren, working her deadly magic over my mind, the melody of her song leading me to my downfall.
If anyone dares to touch what’s mine again, I'll break every one of their fingers,
She looks lost, she doesn’t know what to do in a situation like this. Don’t worry, baby, I got you.
He was trying to hurt her. I'm going to kill this man and I don't even know his name. Oh well, the less I know about him the better. No trail to lead back to me.
You’re mine. Mine to love. Mine to bend. Mine to break. No one else's.
She looks to me, searching my face like I hold the answers to all her life’s problems. Little does she know that I do. I’ll do anything to make her happy and keep her safe.
Please turn and fight, baby. Make me regret what I just said. I’ll beg for your forgiveness until my knees bleed, baby. Just stay.
I’m not a patient man when it comes to the safety of my lady.

It's just another way I’m different. Choosing to embrace the dark and morbid in my life instead of shying away from it.
Watching her read is my favourite. The scrunch in her face when she reads something she doesn’t like.
She has three books in her cart, is that where she’s been all this time? In the book aisle? I should have known.
Her features soften at the care I lend her books, I know how she values them.
She’s a flower slowly blooming before my eyes.
She deserves to live, to feel and experience life, the highs as well as the lows. I will give her anything under the sun to make her happy.
took notice of how she liked them organized beforehand. It took way longer than I anticipated, but this woman has over two hundred books. Organizing them all by author proved to be a migraine inducing task. Every time I thought I had it perfect, another book would show up and I’d have to shuffle shelves around.
I can’t wait to see her face light up at the sight and smell of a new book, it’s like her own little aphrodisiac.
“My hero,” I joke. His head rises, eyes darkening as they lock with mine. “Always,” he growls.
“Kiss me,” she pleads. I’d give her anything she wanted. She knows it, I know it, and I do.
