Kendra had cleaned the entire downstairs up and was sitting on the couch scrolling on her phone. She looked so sad, even lonely as she sat there not knowing what to do. There wasn’t shit I could do about it. She had everything. Cappadonna had made sure she never wanted for anything, and all she had to do was stick by her man’s side, and she decided that slanging her pussy around was more important than honoring her word.
exactly! he gave her plenty of chances for an out yet still stayed around promising she’ll be loyal. now look at her; heartbroken, married to a man who attempted to kill her son and killed her aunt, and pregnant with his baby…fix it jesus
“I’m pregnant, Capella. You’re going to be a big brother.” I’ve never been a man that would ever put my hands on a woman. It took me a cool four minutes to convince myself not to slap her over the couch. The way she just announced that I was going to be a big brother like I was fucking five years old pissed me off.
Imagine my surprise when the test came back that I had sickle cell. The doctor explained that this wasn’t something you could develop with time like asthma. He told me that I had been born with it. How the fuck could every person in my life have glanced over that? Was it not in my files from when I was born?
“I was hoping to run it past you first, and then you can convince her. I’m not asking for y’all not to be there… you can come and do whatever you need to make sure it’s safe. Let me have my fun before I leave by the end of the summer.” He sighed. “Shit coming faster and faster,” I admitted, knowing that I was going to miss my best friend. Jaiden was my best friend, and I was going to miss him.
I guess I should have known that Aimee would go running behind Chub’s ass. She could never think straight without dick being swung in her face. When I told her that she was going to ride for my side because we were related, I expected her as to suck it up and hold it down for me. She acted like I was telling her to get out there and shoot at them niggas.
Big Capp finding out that I killed his grandson was something that kept me up at night smiling. There was nothing that got under that man’s skin except his family. While both twins were different, that was something they both shared.
Aimee would be so excited that my mother wanted to see her and fix things that she would come. She and my mother’s relationship had never been the best, and Aimee always tried. My mom always resented her for whatever reason. No matter how much she pushed Aimee away, she still tried to make things work with our mother.
“I came back when those niggas was leaving. I went to grab us more drinks because the bottle girl was taking too long.” “Oh.” “Yeah. I would have had that nigga handled if I knew that was his plan.” Monty continued to big himself up knowing he wouldn’t have gone that far.
My mother sent me the address to the restaurant, excited that we were about to put everything under the table. I hated to break it to her, but I was about to grab Aimee’s ass and that baby. She chose her side when she left that apartment and didn’t give a fuck how I would feel.
The passenger door opened, and Aimee stepped out holding a diaper bag. When the driver door opened, I saw a timberland boot hit the street first, and then the rest of the body followed. Cappadonna stepped out, tossing the keys over to the valet who rushed to hurry up and catch it.
“You real fucking funny.” “Nah. You the funny one thinking I was gonna send my daughter-in-law and grandson into the pussy’s den. Unlike you, I protect mine. I’m here alone… what up, Ace? Using your moms to set up your sister is nasty work, too. Let me tell you this though… I heard you moved spots. I’m closing in on you, bitch, and when I do, I’m doing you in with my bare hands… no guns.”
“Ma, I would love to have lunch with you. I’m not keeping you from your grandson… I just need space from Ace.” I sighed into the phone, wanting to get into detail, but deciding against it because she would always take Ace’s side. “I miss you a lot, Aimee, and I need to be involved in my grandson’s life. I know he is getting big,” she continued to guilt trip me.
“Sounds like you need to use your brain, Aimee.” “What you mean?” “Your brother isn’t happy about you choosing sides. Now your mama reaches out to have lunch. I’m not saying she’s involved, but it sounds like a set up to me. I’m not getting between you and your mom’s shit, but I’m gonna come with you to lunch… cool?”
I didn’t have the heart to tell her that me and Ace may never see eye to eye again. He was angry with me, and he was the last person I wanted to make up with. Ace had done enough shit to me for me to keep putting up with his selfish and conniving ways. In his eyes, I was a traitor, and he wasn’t going to accept that from his blood sister.
“Aimee is a bit of a liar. The girl had us believing the baby’s father was some dude locked up, and it turns out to be some other guy we didn’t even know. Ace has always tried to protect his sister, and be there for her, and she’s always pushed back and lied on him.”
and yet your son has attempted murder, choked his sister, and gets high off his own supply. i’ll take the liar
By the time I showered, all I did was sit on the edge of the bed and I didn’t remember falling asleep. I woke up to someone between my legs and it was Ace. He was grunting and raping me. I screamed, pushing him away from me, shoving him and all he did was hold me around my neck. He held me, and fear kept me still as I laid there allowing him.
Ace was high, and that wasn’t an excuse. When I told him about it, I could see he remembered, and he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. The guilt was all over his face. I guess I should have been grateful that he felt guilty for doing that to me. When I told my mother, she slapped me across the mouth and told me to stop making up lies on my brother. She then explained how none of this would have been possible without him, and I needed to stop making trouble or I would be the one tossed on my ass.
him being high still doesn’t negate the fact he raped someone let alone his own sister. her mother is god-awful! the type of mother who treats her son like a husband are the ones you have to watch out for.
It wasn’t hard when his family had treated me more like family than my own. Cappadonna heard me blurt out that I was raped and never questioned me. He stood on my side and believed me, despite telling me that he didn’t trust me. That spoke to the kind of man he was, and I appreciated him for it.
Music played softly in the background as we sat outside. “Shit just got worst after Barbados. I don’t know any more with Kincaid.” “Maybe it was a fun for the moment situation. Just call it quits and continue to be friends… there’s nothing wrong with that.”
“You don’t believe in spinning the block with Naheim?” I asked, the wine finally making me social. She laughed. “Absolutely not. I would get back with him tomorrow if my heart didn’t feel the way it did. I love Naheim and probably always will, but my heart won’t allow me to trust him, and I have to trust who I’m with. There’s too many things that I would be worried about when it comes to getting back with him.” She took a swig of her wine. “The dick is still good though.”
