“This was done to my fated mate, your future queen, when she wasn’t threatening anyone,”
“Ripping my heart from my chest would be less painful than even considering you leaving here.” He cupped my face, his eyes turning a bright light gray. “But the only thing that hurts worse than that is imagining the dragons coming and taking you from me. I love you too much for you to suffer such a fate, so I’m willing to let you go temporarily while I force Eldrin to inform me how to get you out of the blasted vow with Pyralis.”
Don’t let fear make you lose logic and cast blame where it isn’t warranted. If you’re to be mad at anyone, then it should be the ones who attacked the Seelie without regard for your safety.”
A part of me wants to resist returning to Aetherglen merely because your father was the one to decide it on our behalf, but it would be a death sentence to my people if I let my pride get in the way. Tavish closed his eyes. If it weren’t for you and the safety of my people, I’d harm him right now. He exhaled and braced himself. “We’ll leave at first light.”
“I believe Nightbane is larger than Eldrin.” Finnian rocked back on his heels, watching my cousin struggle. “I bet the beast’s penis is also bigger than his. No wonder neither men nor women were interested in him.”
Tavish barreled to the door and cracked it open. He reached through the small gap, snagged the gown, then slammed the door. “Ouch,” Finnian whined. “That was my nose you hit.” “Then you were way too close.”
“And about you all too. Don’t forget, you aren’t innocent in this either. Maybe you didn’t kill Tavish’s parents, but none of this is Tavish’s or my fault. We were children when all this happened, and we’re handling each situation the best we can. Casting judgment is easy, but taking responsibility for your own actions takes a strong person, which, right now, none of you seem to be doing except Tavish. He isn’t blaming someone else for making him kill the traitor, so maybe you all should take a hard look at yourselves!”
“It appears our little Seelie princess has become more entertaining.” Finnian beamed. “Something I didn’t think was possible.”
