If you want things to flow easily, you have to not give a dam.
“Hell’s bells, what a bricky sensagger!”
“I say, that was bang up to the elephant, what!” one of the gentlemen declared. “Balmy on the crumpet,” said another excitedly. “Dimber-damber ekker, sure puts footer in the wagger pagger bagger!” contributed the third.
Only one species talked so incomprehensibly: the well-educated man.
“Well, for one thing, he told us he was a chair at Aberystwyth University. Obviously not in his right mind, thinking he’s furniture.
So do not accuse me of being lucky, thank you. I am far too clever for luck.”
“Um, are you sure you want to do this?” she said awkwardly. “Yes.” “Because if you—” “It’s fine. Do you intend to participate also?” “Oh. Right.” She hugged him close, snuggling against the rock-hard cliff face of his pectoral region. “See, this is easy,” she lied cheerfully. “We should soon become desensitized.” “Hm.” They waited in taut silence. And waited. “This is taking longer than I anticipated,” Gabriel grumbled.
Elodie was unable to repress a grin, although she dug her heels into the ground to keep herself from leaping forward and hugging Gabriel in excitement. He seemed equally excited, his mouth straight and brow unfurrowed.
“Would it help if I kissed you first?” “Probably not. I just have to get it over with.” She strove not to roll her eyes. “Heavens, what a romantic line. I shall have to record it in my diary.”
