Gotta lay off the booze. My buddies are getting sick of me telling them how much I love them every week.
“If I was meeting someone, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you. I like my men jealous and possessive.”
“You’re going to drown.” The words fly out of my mouth in tipsy ecstasy. “I would happily drown in you,” he murmurs.
“I’m glad you’re here. Because if you didn’t leave Wakefield, I never would’ve met you.” His hand caresses my jaw, and his crystal-lined eyes trace my face. “And meeting you is the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“I’m in love with Sienna.” I glance at her, but she refuses to look at me. Refuses to look anywhere other than her lap. “I know we screwed up. What we did was stupid, what I did was stupid, and I’m sorry for the mess I made. But you’ll have to pry her out of my cold, dead hands if you want to keep us apart.”
Luke may own me, but I own him too. His body, his mind, his heart.
“Don’t break my heart. I won’t recover.”
“Psychos are my type, not assholes,” she corrects.
“There’s a difference?” “Huge. My psycho will secretly have a soft heart, just for me.”
