picturing myself in some play club, having Salvatore Descallia dominate me with his will. My cheeks feel hot at the thought, and I hope they haven’t colored. Seriously, that vampire is making me delusional! Luce Denaro does not do that! Not yesterday, today, or ever!
Great, even though she is law enforcement and he's a top level criminal thug she's fan-girling, so all it takes is a pretty face and she forgets all her goals and morals.
She nods. They would
their supplier started cutting the product with impure substances. We have it on good authority that it was none other than Salvatore Descallia.
You can remain on the case—unofficially—but officially you’ve resigned and gone to work for Descallia. Unless that’s not the option you prefer.”
“So, you fucked up, decided this wasn’t the life for you, and went to work for Descallia. The only thing that changed for me was that Descallia descended on my home and told me a wild story. I can chalk that up to a bad dream.”
“I’m Darius from the Romano house,
“Silver from Romano house,” he says,
“I’m Terrence, Romano house, and I’ll be one of the bad motherfuckers.”
it says that she’ll use her powers to decide whether we are worthy, whether our fight is her fight, and whether we survive or become part of the larger demise. The one with the crystalline green eyes and inherent powers will be sent from the heavens, holding the only key to our survival.”
they go to the cabinets on the wall and pull out some long-ass swords.
Why teach her to defend herself against a sword when they're almost impossible to carry around so no one 8s going to come after her with one. About the only way she'd come across someone with a sword is if she invaded somebody else's space and they had one and tried to use it against her --most likely she come across hand-to-hand combat, knives, guns, and found objects. this is dramatic for the story but hardly realistic or really useful.
Agosto screeches with anguish as the vitality is sucked from his body and he is pulled into the darkness, but it isn’t as loud as Lucianna’s screams, high pitched and frenzied. “No one messes with me and my kind, my family! Die, bastard!”
Overdramatic, and scene killing: by having so little control and killing the guy he was trying to question she's undermined his authority and eliminated their only lead. I don't get why anyone would be happy about that, she's a total f#ck-up.
The thought of her anywhere near Benetti causes my jaw to tighten painfully.
Why is he still worried about Benetti when the guy he just questioned that it was Romano who sent them? This plot is all over the place and doesn't make any sense. you think after Augusto told him Romano sent the group with the bomb to his casino that he would pull the Romano men (Terence, Silver, and Darius) from the team and questioned them at least.
three pure quarts
160 lb average female body only holds 9 pints or basically 4.5 US quarts, so one problem is the human stomach can't hold 96 fluid ounces, not easily anyway; another is thatbthree quarts is basically her replacing three quarters of her blood in one sitting -- if she needed that much blood she couldn't be conscious much less standing.
three quarts
I should push back, and maybe at one time I would have, but his dominance gives me assurance,
Okay, you want to try and make this some sort of BDSM spiced plot, how about adding some development to this aspect of the storyline: why does it give her assurance; why does it make her feel this way; has she always been like this; is she just discovering this now; is she surprised by his proclivities; how does she feel about it? There's just no development, no integration of this into the storyline overall, nothing to make it feel like it's really part of the story and not just something just plopped in out of nowhere, consequently it doesn't really fit.
