picturing myself in some play club, having Salvatore Descallia dominate me with his will. My cheeks feel hot at the thought, and I hope they haven’t colored. Seriously, that vampire is making me delusional! Luce Denaro does not do that! Not yesterday, today, or ever!
Jeanette Wolfe
Great, even though she is law enforcement and he's a top level criminal thug she's fan-girling, so all it takes is a pretty face and she forgets all her goals and morals.

drinking blood is not something I agreed to or am willing to do. Like it or not, I’m not going to just roll over and do whatever he says every time he wants me to do something.

Sure, right, sorry I don't believe it.

If it were me, not bloody likely, but Luce, probably would with a fan-girl giggle.

Well, bully for him, but I am NOT the submissive sort, so I pretty well over this lame-duck female lead.

they go to the cabinets on the wall and pull out some long-ass swords.
Jeanette Wolfe
Why teach her to defend herself against a sword when they're almost impossible to carry around so no one 8s going to come after her with one. About the only way she'd come across someone with a sword is if she invaded somebody else's space and they had one and tried to use it against her --most likely she come across hand-to-hand combat, knives, guns, and found objects. this is dramatic for the story but hardly realistic or really useful.

Sword thrusts don't gash they pierce. a parry might or a cut/slice would leave a gash

Agosto screeches with anguish as the vitality is sucked from his body and he is pulled into the darkness, but it isn’t as loud as Lucianna’s screams, high pitched and frenzied. “No one messes with me and my kind, my family! Die, bastard!”
Jeanette Wolfe
Overdramatic, and scene killing: by having so little control and killing the guy he was trying to question she's undermined his authority and eliminated their only lead. I don't get why anyone would be happy about that, she's a total f#ck-up.

“No! Terrence and Clay will help Silver,” I tell her,
Jeanette Wolfe
Terrence and Silver are from the House Romano, the group stealing the women in the first place so how can he trust them to actually save the women and not derail the entire effort?

The thought of her anywhere near Benetti causes my jaw to tighten painfully.
Jeanette Wolfe
Why is he still worried about Benetti when the guy he just questioned that it was Romano who sent them? This plot is all over the place and doesn't make any sense. you think after Augusto told him Romano sent the group with the bomb to his casino that he would pull the Romano men (Terence, Silver, and Darius) from the team and questioned them at least.

three pure quarts
Jeanette Wolfe
160 lb average female body only holds 9 pints or basically 4.5 US quarts, so one problem is the human stomach can't hold 96 fluid ounces, not easily anyway; another is thatbthree quarts is basically her replacing three quarters of her blood in one sitting -- if she needed that much blood she couldn't be conscious much less standing.

I should push back, and maybe at one time I would have, but his dominance gives me assurance,
Jeanette Wolfe
Okay, you want to try and make this some sort of BDSM spiced plot, how about adding some development to this aspect of the storyline: why does it give her assurance; why does it make her feel this way; has she always been like this; is she just discovering this now; is she surprised by his proclivities; how does she feel about it? There's just no development, no integration of this into the storyline overall, nothing to make it feel like it's really part of the story and not just something just plopped in out of nowhere, consequently it doesn't really fit.

Lucianna shivers. “Yes, master,”
Jeanette Wolfe
Uh, what? Not into female leads who are submissive little b!tches. Then there's the issue of not wanting to read any sex scenes because I just don't feel the connection between them so this seems icky.

How about asking if she's interested in that rather than telling her or demanding something she may not want?
