I cursed, reaching my magic toward it and trying to work out the intricacies, needing to unravel it. But I simply didn’t have the skill, or at least, I thought I didn’t until a twist of magic in my chest and a strange, roiling power slid from me into that barrier and it fizzled out of existence.
