“Who’s Flynn Ryder?” She rolled her eyes. “He’s from Tangled, the Rapunzel movie?”
“I didn’t mean any offense by that, Jaime. You look perfect. You’re beautiful.”
She made a face. “I’m not going on a date with you.” “Why not? My mom said I’m a good catch.”
He’d wanted to kiss me, I knew he had—so why didn’t he do it?
Mmm, pizza. I love pizza.
“OK. I’ll stay for pizza.” For pizza, not for you, get it?
Oh, God. She was going to kill me. This was way too much fun.
“And…” She lifted her shoulders. “I’d like to try. I’d like to be…closer to you.”
But then I couldn’t babble anymore because he’d grabbed my head and pressed his lips to mine.

“Yes.” Please don’t tease me right now. Don’t ask me what it means. Don’t remind me of the rules. Just trust me. Let me give you more, a little at a time. “OK,” he said, kissing me softly. “I’ll stay.”
